And the Forked poets:

Bohdan Piasecki: a poet from Poland based in Birmingham. A committed performer, he has taken his poems from the upstairs room in an Eastbourne pub to the main stage of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, from underground Tokyo clubs to tramways in Paris, from a bookshop in Beijing to an airfield in Germany, from niche podcasts to BBC Radio. In the UK, he regularly features at the country’s most exciting spoken word nights, festivals, and readings. He enjoys the creative chaos of big field festivals just as much as the composed concentration of literary events.

Chris White: Exeter Bard 2017 Chris is a poet, playwright and performer, describing his poems as 'jokes' his writing takes on the Avant guard, the surreal, the likes of Celine Dion and Halle Berry! Numerous SLAM winner and Edinburgh fringe festival performer, Chris poetry is charming, clever and witty to boot.

Alexander Rhodes: “A poetic force to be reckoned with. Alexander puts everyone at ease, he flits comfortably between welcoming event organiser and reliably powerful performer” Sara Hirsch

Marc Woodward: Marc is a musician and poet born in the USA but a long time resident of Devon. His poetry has been widely published in magazines, anthologies and online journals with a full collection published this summer by Green Bottle Press. “Stories of moonlight and wildlife in the strange, small wildernesses of the South West." (Ink, Sweat & Tears). “Beautifully crafted poems...that sing in the dark of darkness" (Canto Reviews).

Marion Clare: Marion is a Plymouth poet and performer who loves to experiment with genres, humour and surreality. She collaborates with a bunch of musicians, writers and artists known as The Spoils Collective. In 2017 Marion set-up a writing & performance community called Versify which is an open space for people to experiment and develop their skills. She says “writing may or may not help soothe the existential void within, but it's worth a try.”

Nick Kitto:
Local poet and slam champion Nick Kitto has been performing spoken word for 3 years and has been charming audiences ever since.

“A great performer oozing soulful, intelligent poetry veering from the serious to the hysterically funny”
Veronica Aaronson, Programmer, Teignmouth Poetry Festival
