"Meditation is not about withdrawing from life but learning how to access that space within oneself where we are able to enjoy the experience of life without being overwhelmed or consumed by it." Tim Brown, Australia’s leading Vedic Meditation teacher.

In this third offering of the course, Peta Patten will lead a small group in experiencing the benefits of mindfulness. Held on four consecutive Monday evenings, from 7pm - 8pm, participants will be led through meditation techniques, the benefits of stillness and the everyday practices of mindfulness.

Peta Patten is a Natural Therapist with over 20 years experience in the Complimentary Health Industry. Peta values each individual’s unique pathway to optimum health and wellbeing and offers a professional, holistic, mind/body approach to her work.

Having spent many years navigating her incredible life journey, Peta is passionate about the holistic benefits of mindfulness and meditation. She knows from her own experience just how continual stress, overwork and busyness can affect every aspect of your life and begin to change who you are and where you are heading. After a diagnosis with Epstein Barr virus and two months off work with total exhaustion, Peta knew things had to change. One of the most powerful tools of change was the introduction of a more mindful approach to life and the practice of daily meditation. This practice brought about increased health, relaxation and a healthy way to release negative emotions. Peta began to hear her intuition more clearly and to prioritise what was most important. Choosing to live more simply, with intention and focus, became a way of being.

The practice of Mindfulness/Meditation is well researched and the benefits to health and wellbeing are enormous when practised regularly. And the basic principles are so simple to learn. Choosing to spend five or ten minutes twice a day mindfully will increase focus and clarity in our daily life. The same amount of time spent in quiet meditation will encourage feelings of kindness and gratitude and increase our coping abilities in all areas of our life.

If you would like to feel lighter, calmer, happier and more present with those that matter in your life, then this course may be just what you are looking for. Peta will help guide and support you as you make this journey within yourself. Treat this course like a new adventure into unexplored territory.

Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing. No experience or equipment is necessary.
