Lucy Peach is a an artist hailing from Fremantle WA, inspired by Bob Dylan, her menstrual cycle and her convict ancestors. Winner of the West Australian Music Industry WAM award for Best Folk Act of 2016, she has released two EPs: ‘Wax and Wane’ (2011) and ‘Silver Tongue’ (2016) and is due to release a concept album entitled ‘Blood Magic’ in late 2018.
Renowned for her on stage banter, Lucy recently wrote and performed in “My Greatest Period Ever”, which premiered at Perth’s Fringe World Festival in 2017 and won the Martin Simms Award, quoted by Fringe World to be “the top prize of the Festival, recognising the best new Western Australian work in the Festival that is destined to succeed on the world's stage.”
Lucy's songs and joyous approach to her craft will make this a sparkling event as she talks with Around The Sound Bob Gordon about her life and inspiration, and shares her beautiful and inspiring music.
