Johnathan Woodside is the Executive Director of Mindfulness Outreach Initiative, an Omaha based nonprofit that he founded in 2012, offering comprehensive meditation instruction and mindfulness training.
On October 24th 2017, Johnathan Woodside left Omaha to embark on a rare and unique exploration. The journey would take him to the Insight Meditation Society and the Forest Refuge retreat center in Barre Massachusetts, a small town surrounded by rolling hills and thick woods, two hours West of Boston. There Johnathan would spend 100 days practicing mindfulness meditation for 10 hours a day under the guidance of renown teachers in his tradition. After 1,000 hours of meditation practice the adventure continues.
Join Mindfulness Outreach Initiative for an intimate opportunity to hear delightful stories and detailed accounts of transformational insights from Johnathan's one hundred day retreat as he shares how valuable and healing a meditation practice and retreat experience of any duration can be. Johnathan will also discuss the mission and vision of Mindfulness Outreach Initiative as the organization continues to map out a mindful future for Omaha. At the end of the presentation there will be time for questions and in conclusion Johnathan will lead the audience through a guided meditation practice.
This is a community leader who has worked with great dedication to educate and support the growing population of meditators in Omaha. We hope you will join us.
