W KAYSO GRANDE + LILIA & KENT
Jabberwocky Down will be bringing the house down at their upcoming single launch at The Bearded Lady on the 22nd of April.
Making their debut performance at Caxton Street Festival in 2016, throughout 2017 Jabberwocky Down were active in live performance, including those at notable Brisbane venues The Foundry, The Zoo, and The Milk Factory. As 2017 QUBE Effect nominees, they made a substantial impact with their music video on YouTube, and then took to the radio waves being interviewed and played by 4ZZZ.
Over the past six months the band has been working hard on redefining their image, creating more music and reinventing the classics they have been playing from the start.
They are pumped to celebrate the release of their brand new single; ‘Great White’.
Boasting a tight, snappy groove layered with haunting melodies, the song explores the temptation and anguish of addiction. While sneaking into the limbs of listeners making it impossible not to dance, it also makes a home in their heads with its thought provoking message.
Digital copies of the single will be made available for purchase from the 22nd of April on Spotify, iTunes and Triple J Unearthed.
Joining the band on the night will be Kayso Grande and Lilia & Kent as support acts.
Kayso Grande are the shape-shifting, earth-quaking band that makes you and your friends want to holler and shout, and have the kind of fun your mother warned about. Exploding on the scene in June of 17', the Brisbane Based quintet formed under one pure goal: to use their own eclectic brand of blues fused rock & star shaking soul in order to bring sonic heaven to earth. And ever since their first live show at Sonny’s House of Blues (RIP), they’ve been telling their fans: ‘You’re Welcome’.
Ambient meets raw acoustic with the captivating harmonies of Lilia & Kent. This Gold Coast duo have graced countless listeners from venues across South-East QLD to Singapore. Get lost in the creativity as you hear a mix of original works thrown in amongst cover songs like you’ve never heard before.
Doors open at 8pm with music kicking off at 8:30pm and continuing on till 11pm. Tickets can be brought at the door for just $10 on the night.
