Music Editing Workshop with Hakan.
Using Audacity for Performers.
Every performer should be able to take a musical track and bend it to their will. This technical workshop will focus on the free audio editing application Audacity. You will learn how to install, update and launch the application. You will shown how to cut music, fade in and out, slice tracks together, add voice overs, and apply effects. You will be shown the wonders of the label track and how it can change your life.
Electronic notes will be available for participants.
No experience needed!
This workshop is intended to make edits easier for Burlesque, Belly, Drag, Fire/Flow, Theatrical &/or any other style of performance in which tracks are used. This is also good for presentations and background edits for presentations <3
When: Sunday, April 15, 2018, 12:30pm-1:45pm
At the end of the Workshop there will be time for questions.

What to bring:
1) Please bring a Windows, Linux, or Mac computer (laptop is preferred). If you are unable to bring a computer, you will sell be able to learn from presentation!
2) An Audio track to experiment with. If you have an idea how you would like to edit your sample, that would be great! Sample Audio tracks will be provided if you do not have music to edit.
3) Coffee or Tea for yourself (optional)
Haken has been Belly Dancing for over ten years now, but the important thing is that he has been tooling around with computers for more than 30 years. He has taking his love of most things technical to learn a smattering of skills needed to be an independent alternative arts performer. He knows enough to be dangerous, and that is what he can share with you.
