South India is a land of beauty, culture, and devotion steeped in thousands of years of spiritual tradition. Together we will visit ancient temples, hike through beautiful landscapes, and dive deep into the culture of bhakti. Our trip will be filled with kirtan, story-telling, excotic foods, and incredible, life-transforming experiences that take you straight to the heart of this timeless culture. We are eager and excited to take this journey with you!

We will fly into Mumbai and head straight to Govardhan Eco Village. The Govardhan Eco Village is situated on 50 acres of pristine farmland and aims to demonstrate the principles of self-sufficiency and localized economy to the world. We will stay in eco-friendly guest rooms in the naturally charming village, eat local dishes made from organic grains and vegetables grown on the land, and tour the facilities to see how a group of bhakti-yogis are making a difference towards a greener world. We will practice yoga daily, hear from renowned teacher Radhanath Swami, attend a variety of life changing workshops, swim in the inviting bio pool and spend personal time falling in love with the cows and other farm animals.

From there we will head to Mumbai to visit the inspiring spiritual community of the Radha Gopinath Temple. For those that wish, there will also be time to do some shopping.

From Mumbai we fly to Tirupati to visit the Venkateshwara Temple, widely considered the most important ancient temple in India. The temple itself is nearly 2,000 years old and sits atop the seventh peak of the Seshachalam Hills. We will take a day long hike through these sacred hills as pilgrims, soaking in the breathtaking views, culminating with the viewing of Sri Venkateshwara, the sacred deity of Vishnu. The town of Tirupati is filled with enchanting local festivals, which we will experience together.

We will spend our last few days on a cliff overlooking the pristine beaches of Varkala, located in the lush, tropical state of Kerala. You will have personal time to relax, reflect on the deep experiences we’ve shared together, and continue to dive into the histories and incredible stories of the Vedic culture (made applicable to today’s times). In the evenings we will visit the local Janardaswamy Vishnu temple. The music, architecture, mantra chanting and cooling sea breezes will transport us to the charming spiritual India of old. We will also take a day trip to the fascinating Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple. By permission of the secretary of the King, we will be granted special access to the temple which is otherwise inadmissible to foreigners. The Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple is known for its vastu (ancient Indian feng shui) and beautiful Kerala style paintings. Additionally, Kerala is the global hub of Ayurveda, and we will have the option to receive world class Ayurvedic treatments (extra cost).
