Dick Whittington at the North Pier Theatre!
Our journalist today interviewed one Richard Whittington, A young man recently arrived in London from Gloucester (as opposed to Richard Gloucester who arrived from Whittington.) He stands accused of stealing a valuable necklace from Alice Fitzwarren, the daughter of his employer and benefactor Alderman Fitzwarren, on the evidence given by two other employees, Sarah the cook & Captain Pigseye the master of Alderman's ship the Saucy Sue.
Despite this Whittington maintains his innocence and swears to find the person who perpetrated this foul & evil deed. When asked if he would let the cat out of the bag Idle Jack (Whittington's friend) denied all knowledge, stating that the cat was never in the bag in the first place.
The cat declined to comment!
