THIS IS THE LAST FLIGHT TO REGGAE CITY! YOUR FLIGHT NUMBER IS 007.
Well they say all good tings must come to an end and it looks as though they were right. This will be the FINAL #BOSSTAKEOVER at The Boxcar. This is definitely a sad realization for all of us but lets not mourn the loss of our home let's celebrate the life of it with one final dance, one final patty & one final BOSS time. Again both Jonny and I have some killer new records to play for you so don't miss out. We're not sure where we'll be landing but keep your eyes and ears peeled because we'll definitely be back.
As always, this night is all about the best of the early years of Jamaican music, and we're bringing the original JA hitsound - Sweet rocksteady, the heavy monster sound of early reggae, even bits of classic early-60s ska and 70s dub here and there, and strictly on that vinyl...because eff everything else. Once again, we've got some monster new secret jams to be unveiled that we know you're gonna be so into.
As previous, decks will be manned by Boss Takeover founders Jonny “StahWah: The Ras Dread-I" Grayston (The Late EVSC), Vancouver's most enthusiastic selecter YOUNG ROYAL (aka Corey Poluk of The Ballantynes & The Valuables) and now featuring Your Man Flint (aka Mike Flint from The Tranzmitors & The Flintettes).
As per usual we will have FREE Jamaican Patties from The Patty Shop!
