Raise the disco is the first awareness event being brought to you by The Canteen, in support of the Bristol born charity Second Step.

The Disco night not only aims to entertain you but to also raise awareness about the ongoing crisis involving homelessness in our city and to shine a light on the amazing work Second Step achieves everyday. Second Step is a leading mental health charity in the South West offering housing, support and hope to thousands of people with mental health and other problems.

Raise the disco is proud to present a stellar line up, opening the launch will be Late Night Love Affair; this Bristol duo of Rodeane & Thomas, these guys aim to bring all the tunes inside their hearts & record bags. Hot off their sets at sleazy sessions and love inn - a boogie is guaranteed.

Not only great DJ’s but quickly becoming Bristol's most wanted is the trio French Kiss, the DJ collective will be showcasing quality dance music. French Kiss have been making a name for themselves by holding nights in Crofters rights, the late great ‘Dutch’ on Old Market and with their next event French Kiss pres. Marquis Hawkes at The Island... its hard not to see why we are excited to have them (check out headfirst for more info on tickets for the French Kiss pres. Marquis Hawkes).

Closing the show are the infamous Ere Wax, not only do Ere Wax make you want to dance the night away but they also make you wish the night never stops; most recently taking to the stage at ‘The Masked Ball’ we are too emotional with excitement to see what the Bristol and Falmouth collective have in store.

At a time in society where venues are just as vulnerable as people; Second Step is proud to be supported by The Canteen Bristol to raise awareness on the threat housing pressures are having on all parts of our society. This night is not a political one nor does it expect to start a revolution (but keeping fingers crossed) – It is a night where music lovers with some big hearts can show their support to the services tackling the everyday to keep every person safe.

This is a free event but a small donation will be asked for at the door.

Doors open 9:30pm -2am.

Suggested donation £3 (but give what you can)
