Celebrate 4-20 with The Captain's Daughters. Join us for the Opening Reception of "How to Be Cool When Weed is Legal" a solo show of paintings by Donny Morin.

Donny Morin is a Boston-based painter and printmaker whose work explores the emotional significance of both items and locations; Apathetic, morose, and comedic. Drawing from nostalgia, bad habits, and popular culture he strives to understand why certain places stick with us and why objects fade away into obscurity.

Using a variety of media, his work aims to be instantly understood while drawing the viewer in to ponder the subject's underlying backstory. Combining classic rendering techniques with gestural abstract marks he aims to create a realistic facade that covers a much deeper existential atmosphere.

Cocktail reception + Artist Meet and Greet at The Captain's Daughters, Friday April 20th, 2018 from 6 - 8pm
