#var:page_name# cover

To celebrate what's sure to be a banging gig at Porthleven Festival we are gonna roll over to The Chintz and fire up the spiciest hot pot of funk, dirty blues and scorching indie you've ever tried to get your mouth round.
If you haven't been to the Chintz I won't try to describe it, I've been loads of times and it still baffles me. But you should try and find a way down there as its such a cool place. Intimate, eccentric, wild.

I'm buzzin for this gig.

FREE entry, band on at 9pm, Over 18's only

Biography by Music Muso

"A soul punch of indie rock n roll and pulsing electro blues...Exceptional pedigree! 10/10" - IRELAND'S UNSIGNED & INDEPENDENT

Formed in Sept 2016 in a living room in Devon The Andy Quick Band hit the ground running with a highly original debut Album 'The Way Things Are' recorded at the infamous Middle Farm Studio and packed with big riffs and playful lyricism "...soulful, funky, and bursting with confidence..."

The bands first single 'Liberation' a ”throbbing, euphoric masterpiece” impressed Songwriting
Magazine who crowned it song of the day back in January. Cue a 14 date tour in the Spring where the band hit form landing them slots at some of the best UK festivals of the
summer including Glastonbury festival, NASS and main stage at Leopalooza.

Andy is joined by long time collaborator Josie Boucharde on bass, mesmerising synth meister
Martin Jenkins and laid back funkenstein Jackal Rosewarne-Hebb on drums along with a
number of superstar guests!

Musically they are impossible to pin down. Andy is a multifaceted songwriter and as with Land
Of The Giants this new live show has evolved into a fascinating mash up of beats and styles.
"This band is tight and the hype is growing" Andy has a unique voice and a knack for a catchy
chorus. Their latest online single releases '5 less' and the anthemic 'sugar' suggest 2018 will
be another banger.
