Over 10 weeks your little one will learn about mindful movement, balance, meditation, breathing and teamwork. In a safe, non - competitive environment overlooking the calming Maroubra beach.

WEEKLY BREAKDOWN

WEEK ONE- YOGA INTRO AND EMOTIONS
This first class is all about introducing the concepts of yoga to the kids and exploring some of the course rituals that will take place over the ten weeks. We will take a look at our breath and how certain poses can help us deal with emotions such as anger, sadness and being tired.

WEEK TWO- LOVING US!
This class takes a look at our inner critic- that voice that tells us we are not good enough or stops us from trying because we are too worried we will fail. We will explore poses that will allow us to connect to our inner warriors and use our critics to our advantage!

WEEK THREE- MISTAKES ARE OKAY
This class delves into our fear of making mistakes and how yoga can teach us that mistakes are good because they help us learn. We will create our own yoga erasers and celebrate the opportunity to try again!

WEEK FOUR- IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED…
This class introduces the students to flow! They will put together some of the poses they have learnt so far in a sun salutation and the whole class will be based around the mantra of ‘try, try, try again!’

WEEK FIVE- WELCOME TO THE UNKNOWN
This fun class examines why change can make us feel nervous and unsure. We will explore a few of the poses we think we know, shake them up and prove to them that sometimes change can lead to adventure!

WEEK SIX- HEALTHY TUMMY, HEALTHY ME
This class investigates how we hold emotions such as nerves and anxiety in our bellies and learn twisting poses that will help us rinse them out and find room to breathe.

WEEK SEVEN- RESPECT
A wild class full of partner poses that will teach our yogi’s the value of respect. We will explore some crazy poses that will challenge their own belief systems and show them that communication is everything.

WEEK EIGHT- ANGRY PANTS!
This class explores how anger manifests in our bodies and how useful yoga can be in helping get back some control. We will investigate back bends that will open our hearts up to a more peaceful state and breathe away our blues.

WEEK NINE- EMPATHY IS EVERYTHING
A fun class that will put the student’s into the role of the teacher. They will guide each other through some new poses and demonstrate how empathy can make us more understanding. We will flow, balance, giggle and wobble our way to a more empathetic state!

WEEK TEN- PICK AND MIX
A happy class to end the term, where the students can revisit their favourite poses and teachings from the course.
