April is not just about spring showers--it is also Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. In partnership with The Advocates we will host a FREE screening of The Mask You Live In in the Lecture Room. The documentary follows boys and young men as they struggle to stay true to themselves while negotiating America’s problematic definition of masculinity. Are our stereotypes about masculinity harming our boys, men, and society at large? The Mask You Live In explores this question and ultimately tries to strip away this “mask.” The film is 1 hour and 37 minutes long, and young adults especially are encouraged to attend. . A short discussion led by expert Jeff Matsushita from the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence in Boise will follow.
