As the season concludes here at the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum, the NouLou Chamber Players will present Czech Mix, a celebration of music from three nationalistic composers, each of whom absorbed folk influences from their native lands and the places they traveled.
The program, centered around Dvořák's beloved "American" String Quintet, will also explore Danish born Karl Nielsen's seldom heard work, Serenata in Vano, and Bohuslav Martinů's set of Madrigals for Violin and Viola, who incidentally emigrated to the United States from Czechoslovakia, too.
The Players are thrilled to involve special guests Sidney King (double bass), Sila Darville (violin), and Jonathan Mueller (viola). As always, come enjoy the pre-concert reception sponsored by Macaron Bar Louisville. Special thanks to season sponsor Louisville Bourbon Inn. Most of all, thank you for your continued support throughout the second season!
