Wizzarding Promotions proudly presents to the denizens of Bristol, Avalon, and beyond:

Emily Magpie [Bristol]

"... a glittering, spacious soundscape– mystical, but never twee." The Line of Best Fit

"A vivid talent."- Clash Magazine

Bristol based singer songwriter / producer Emily Magpie released her sophomore EP 'The Witching Hour' in November 2017. A bewitching collection of tracks juxtaposing an ethereal splendour with driving electronics, The EP is a reflection on the magic of the everyday and of being human.

Emily has received rave reviews from press & radio including BBC Introducing, The Line of Best Fit, Tap the Feed, DIY & Clash. Recent gigs include Green Man Festival, Ronnie Scotts, Sofar Sounds, The Louisiana and Nottinghill Arts Club. Emily kicked off 2018 playing support to This is the Kit, with more tour dates and a third EP lined up.

"Intense, vital energy" - DIY Magazine

"We are all in love with her hypnotic voice." - Sofar Sounds Guayaquil.

"Truly unique, and deeply magical..." - Gigslutz

Newton Disc [Bristol]

Newton Disc is singer-songwriter Nick Janaway (solarference, Sat Nav). Perched behind electric piano like an angular baritone crow, Newton Disc sings allusive haunted lyrics on swooping mazelike melodies. Perhaps imagine Alan Sparhawk singing over Boards of Canada's more mysterious moments. (A newton disc is one o' them colour wheels that blurs into white as it spins.)

Ukulele Vagabond [Bristol/Plymouth]

The Ukulele Vagabond has been playing in Plymouth and around for two years. In that time he has experimented with reggae, blues, calypso and folk. He also helped to run a local 'Ukulele' groups in Plymouth. He is self-employed Ukulele Teacher.
His songs include a unique combination of human with some biting critical social and political commentary.
