Social Media is essential to making businesses thrive, from start-ups to those with familiar names and longevity in their fields. SMA is pleased to host a panel of experts working in Long Island’s manufacturing and distribution sector, sharing thoughts and engaging the audience in a discussion of how communications and business development have changed with the evolution of Social Media.
-Keylee Fletcher is a passionate social media marketer and musician, with a penchant for building social communities through lifestyle content. Keylee currently is a social media strategist at D'Addario and Co., the world’s largest musical instrument accessories company. Prior to her role as a strategist, she served as the percussion social media specialist at D’Addario; the social media director for the “Hit Like a Girl” drumming contest; profile manager for the Austin-based social media start-up Main Street Hub; and the social media and web content manager at the Percussive Arts Society & Rhythm Discovery Center.
-Amanda Booth is a marketing communications professional with experience in both B2B and B2C marketing. In 2013 she joined ClearVision Optical, a global eyewear designer and distributor, as their marketing specialist. In this role, Amanda is responsible for a variety of efforts, including copywriting, social media, trade shows, event management, and public relations. Amanda received a Bachelor of Science in marketing/public relations from Quinnipiac University and an MBA with a concentration in marketing from Stony Brook University.
-Kara Canon, Global Head of Sales & Marketing, Enzo Life Sciences, has been employed with the Company since 2011 and is responsible for strategic and tactical marketing, as well as, Sales and Business Development for the Life Sciences products. Ms. Cannon previously held executive positions at Pall Corporation, where she focused on commercial operations within the areas of diagnostics, biotechnology and biosciences. She has also held marketing and technical positions at Dynal Biotech (now ThermoFisher Scientific). She has had extensive experience in the marketing and selling of innovative platforms for the diagnostics markets, as well as, the development and execution of strategic plans for the growth and sustainability of diagnostic-related businesses. Ms. Cannon holds a BA from Franklin and Marshall College.
-Beth Granger, Vice-President, Social Media Association. Beth is a social media, social selling, and LinkedIn trainer, speaker, and coach. She loves helping people who are not comfortable with technology to embrace its power. Beth’s presentations and programs have been well received at national sales meetings, trade events, and within organizations who value developing their employees. She also guest lectures on multiple topics at the Hofstra University Continuing Education program.
