When during pregnancy?
You should start your sessions from your 14th week, and attend up until you give birth. Attending more than one term can help the movements and breaths become completely instinctive during labour.

And whats the price?
There are 6 sessions per term, and each session is 90 minutes. The price is £65.

What does the class involve?
We will focus on birth preparation and active labour techniques. You will learn breathing, relaxation, optimal fetal positioning and movement. The educational segment to give you confidence to make your right choices for pregnancy and labour. We are a mums only group.

Each session starts with a welcome and catch up from the previous week, then a warm up and centering our breath. We will discuss breathing during labour, have a light lymph self massage to aid drainage of retained water, followed by exercises on all fours (aimed at optimal fetal positioning), standing postures, ending the session with positive affirmations and relaxation.

Our education sessions cover:

why we breath during labour,
the cervix and how to aid dilation,
the escalator breath and movements for labour,
medical intervention/induction,
how to encourage dilation,
pain relief,
bearing down and the third stage of labour.
About Daisy
The Daisy Birthing programme uses a unique antenatal method, helping you to learn your antenatal in an effective way – by relaxing! You will call on your knowledge and skills during labour (both with medical intervention and without). We will reach a relaxed state during class and repeat movements and breaths so you can call on them instinctively.

Daisy birthing is approved by Fedant as an antenatal movement education programme for our safety and professionalism.

Is it for me?
We are suitable for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and any number of pregnancies and are a programme designed by Mums, taught by Mums. During the sessions we empathise, understand, provide suggestions and most importantly accept all birthing choices.

We aim to empower Mums to feel calm, confident and relaxed throughout pregnancy and in labour.
