The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library is excited to announce the inaugural issue of The Pulpit Rock Review: an annual poetry journal featuring poets from the Columbia River Gorge.
This year's theme is is "point of view." We're looking for poems that challenge readers to look at the world from a unique, differing, or underrepresented perspective.
Our submission period is April 1st-April 30th. We will accept submissions from poets of all ages. Entries will be evaluated by local, professional writers. If your work is selected, you will be invited to participate in a follow-up poetry reading at the library. You will also receive a free, printed copy of The Pulpit Rock Review.

o All work must be previously unpublished. At this time, we are only accepting poetry. However, we hope to accept fiction and art submissions in the future.
o Send all submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your full name and note which of the following age categories describe you:
Category 1: Ages 12 & Under
Category 2: Ages 13-17
Category 3: Ages 18 & Up
o Submit up to three poems, totaling no more than six pages. All poems should be included in a single Word document and attached to your submission email.
o Simultaneous submissions are welcome; please note as such in your cover letter/email. If your submission is accepted elsewhere, you must notify us via email and withdraw it immediately.
o Send only one submission at a time. Multiple submissions will be deleted and will not be considered.
o Our submission period is April 1st-April 30th. We hope to respond to submissions within 1 month.
