Praxis Stage tries to operate as equitably as possible, and for our summer Praxis Shakes we always employ a total profit-sharing model after our initial investment is recouped.
Our production will be an event that is free to the public, so we rely on people's good will and enthusiasm for our work to fill up donation buckets after each show. In our experience the good people of our audiences have been very generous, and actors have made, off donations, about as good money as one is liable to make in a "fringe" production in Boston. Consequently, taking a role in a Praxis Summer Shakes show indicates a complete willingness to mingle with the audience, bucket-in- hand after curtain call.
Once we make back our investment all profits are divided into equal shares and all members of the cast and creative team, except the director, get an equal share. In acknowledgment of the extra work and overall demands of the job, Praxis directors collect two shares for creating a Summer Shakes show.

[ EDIT: Please note: the role of Henry (the king) has been cast ]
