The Nature of Life – refreshing ways to new beginnings, peace and wellbeing.
Did you know that there are 1,440 minutes in every day? Have you ever thought about how many minutes of those 1,440 you are really aware of what you are doing and in the moment or conscious of how you are using that time? Do you ever mindfully ‘tune in’ to what is around you and take pleasure in a few moments of your day?
As beings of nature we can see and feel the ebb and flow of life and how we work in unison with nature. The life paths we take are akin to walking in nature; sometimes with warm soft sand between our toes, fresh cooling grass underfoot or soothing paddles in a bubbling stream and other times walking across sharp rocky edges, in amongst the sludge (mud plugging as my Grandad called it) or on slippery slopes (sometimes landing us on our backside :-/ Yes I think we’ve all been there!). There are places where we feel we have no grip and that we are sinking or stuck and others where we feel lifted and as free as a bird.
It is in nature that we can observe the fundamentals of life and it is in nature that we can take solitude, rejuvenation and rebirth. When we mindfully connect with nature in the present moment we can forget about the worries of the day and just ‘Be’. It is in nature that we can be mindful and at peace and it is in nature that we will travel and connect during this course of meditations.
The focus of these meditation classes will be on connecting with the spirit of nature – that is, tuning in to our own innate nature (nature within) and connecting with the nature that our wonderful Mother Earth gifts to us (nature without). Using mindfulness techniques, sound and a little imagination we will learn how to appreciate all that is around us and that is readily available for our own healing, transformation and well-being.
The theme of our meditation classes will follow the seasons. Each season will comprise of 4 classes designed to help you to mindfully tune in and connect in ways that will give you the tools to utilise throughout each waking day should you chose to do so.
The meditation is brought to you by Julie Keen from Hyllantree Healing in conjunction with Loaded Table.
