Tales of a Textile Tourist - Textile artist Sara Goodman will share her passion for travel and textiles during the Sandwich Home Industries’ lecture series on April 10th 7:00 at the Doris Benz Center. Come travel to some of the great textile centers of the world: Guatemala, Nepal, Peru, Mexico, Indonesia, China, India and Japan. Sara will show slides of her travels as well as some of the treasures from her collection. She will also talk about how her study of traditional textile techniques has influenced and inspired her own work as a textile artist. Sara is a weaver and dyer living in Center Harbor. She has been a juried artist with the League of NH Craftsmen since 2005. Her work has been in national and international exhibitions from the National Silk Museum in Hangzhou, China to the Sunapee Crafts Fair in NH. Doors open at 6:45.
