BASIC TACTICAL PISTOL COURSE by DRCS
The Tactical Pistol Courses are designed for every Security, Law Enforcement and Military Personnel with Basic skills and experience from their fields. These courses are being held by the Military Training Sector of The DRCS World Headquarters. The training program is designed to help the trainees to upgrade their skills and capabilities and provide a very well trained officer back to the agencies.
The participant will be trained in an intensive tactical training program, according to the highest military standards by certified instructors (with NATO standards). The Tactical Pistol Courses are Basic (a two day course), Advanced (a four day course) and Expert (a six day course). The objective of this course is to have the trainees acquaint with the principals, methods and tactics that can be used by the Police and Military Officers, something that makes this training to be useful for the Officer not only in urban field but also in hostile environment. During the Tactical Pistol Course, the trainees take knowledge for how to work in situations, where the use of a gun is mandatory, as one person, a two person team and in a squad.
The program is intensive but the trainee will be able to absorb all the knowledge that is needed to help him become a well-educated Officer in the use of pistol tactics.
Basic principles of the pistol will be taught (theory, disassembly-assembly of a pistol etc), positions, body movement, weapon manipulation and dry tactics in a way that the participants will be able after that to work with our instructors in the shooting range with the most help and with the best results.
The shooting program consists of various exercises for shots with no pressure and under pressure, that will also help the trainee to learn how to focus on his target no matter the difficulty of the target or the situations are around him.
According to the Training Program, Basic – Advanced – Expert, different training scenarios will be held for team movement and target shooting (shoot or no shoot targets), magazines and even different body equipment in order to help the trainee get the most of his training.
This training program will prepare the participant for the best or the worst scenarios that may have to face in the line of work that will determine the result of his decisions under stressful situations.
BASIC TACTICAL PISTOL COURSE
Introduction, theory, mental preparation (Training Program Analysis – What to expect from the training and what are the results that we are going to have by this course), disassembly-assembly of a pistol, dry tactics for one person, test shots.
Weapon Manipulation, magazine changes, movement and shots at the same time, fire under stress, changing positions by shooting targets. Certificate awarding ceremony.
Persons who can apply for the Tactical Pistol Course are Law Enforcement and Military Personnel, ex Law Enforcement and Military Personnel and soldiers in reserve. Must have basic knowledge in weapons handling. Must have a clean criminal record. Must be able to participate in intensive training programs (according to the training hours of each course). Must have passed all medical exams for the kind of training he chooses to participate. Must be a member of The DRCS World Headquarters.
Identity Card or Passport, Shooting Club Membership Card, DRCS Passport, a copy of your Criminal Record Sheet, Medical Clearance Certificate, Application and Payment Receipt (if there is a Bank included).
TDU (Tactical Duty Uniform), boots, helmet, tactical goggles, tactical vest with body armor, belt, universal pistol holster, tactical gloves, knee and elbow protection pads, military rucksack, personal first aid kit, personal hydration pack, flashlight, tactical sunglasses, ear protection.
The participants must also have protection gear for rain and cold weather since weather is not a reason to avoid training. After all we train no matter the condition (good or bad).
Personal protective gear, balaclava, multi-purpose tool (leatherman type), folding knife, light sticks (sialum), binoculars and other personal tactical equipment are encouraged in training.
