April 24 at 2 pm - Includes Hors d'oeuvres
Calling Elders, and people of all ages who are interested in the powerful role of elders in community!
You are invited to participate in one of 3 exploratory conversations in April. Join us for food, fellowship, and an open forum on the topics of elderhood and conscious aging. Share your thoughts about the third chapter of life. Hear other people's perspectives on being an elder.
These round-table conversations will help to shape 'The Elderhood Journey,' a program series that is beginning in June.
Explore these questions:
-What are the characteristics of an elder and what is the difference between an elder and an older person?
-How can we support the development of elders?
-What questions, challenges, and opportunities exist in the last third of life?
-What are your suggestions for a series on elderhood?
Additional topics to be explored in "The Elderhood Journey":
-How can you use the last third of life in as an opportunity to live more deeply?
-What are ways in which that can come about?
-Are you living unconscious cultural myths about aging that are limiting who you can become?
-What dreams remain unlived due to unresolved issues, family or cultural conditioning?
-What wisdom might you harvest at this time of life that you might share with others?
-How can we accept with equanimity the changes of age while bringing an intention to grow emotionally and spiritually?
-What are your perspectives on befriending death and dying?
-What really matters at this age and stage in life?
