ABOUT THE ARTIST: Viridiana Quiroz, also known as Viri, is The Empty Space Gallery’s youngest artist to have a solo exhibit. Viri is 9 years old and is a Bakersfield native. She is a 4th grade student at Shirley Lane Elementary, who plays the saxophone and is a red belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Viri started drawing from a young age, mostly pictures about her family, friends, and pets. Viridiana was introduced to art in second grade when her class studied Frida Kahlo’s life and work. Viri first explored painting with a portrait of Frida and found art to be very satisfying. Viridiana enjoys her work, and the combination of bright colors. She has participated in Via Arte and Latination art exhibit.
The Empty Space Gallery is proud to have such a young artist featured in the gallery, and works hard at helping aspiring artists of all ages.
The Empty Space Gallery is located at 706 Oak St. Bakersfield CA, 93304.
