Chuffed.org is one of the leading (free!) global crowdfunding platforms for not-for-profits and social enterprises Chuffed is funded by the Telstra Foundation and Blackbird Capital. We're happy to have helped raise over 23 million for people making a difference around the world including organisations such as:
Greyhound Rescue NSW - $30,000 raised
TwoGood - $103,955 raised
The Wayside chapel - $325,000 raised
We'll share the lessons we've learned from our most successful campaigns and how to apply them to your own cause. Our workshop covers the 5 Steps to a Successful Crowdfunding Campaign for Social Causes:
Find your crowd (figure out who is going to support your project and why)
Tell a specific, inspiring story that your supporters care about
Set an achievable target and blow it out of the park
Build early momentum
Create a marketing and promotion plan for your campaign
Connect you with our community of fundraisers for ongoing campaign support
The workshop also provides ample time for campaigners to pitch their initial campaign and for networking and one on one support. All workshop participants are also provided with a free one on one mentoring session one week after the workshop.
About the Speaker
Prashan Paramanathan – CEO
Prashan dreams about a world where the smartest kids in school choose to join non-profits and social enterprises instead of management consulting and law firms. He tried being a management consultant for a while, but ran off to start micro finance banks with the World Bank Group for rural farmers in China before he moved back to Australia and then the U.K, where he has been living and breathing the non-profit sector since.
