This evening’s talk is about a visit to the Franconia Open-Air Museum in Bad Windsheim, Bavaria, Germany.

With over 100 buildings ranging in age from 1398 to 1940, the museum showcases wooden architecture, mostly of farms. Full of original rural furniture pieces, household furnishings, and farm equipment (horse-drawn grinding mills, wine grape presses and so on), the buildings are sure to introduce you to some designs and applications that may be new to you, but old in this part of Germany. If you are a woodie, this is an evening worth your time for wonder and beguilement. Share some dialogue, coffee and cake thereafter.
