Each year since 2009, the year following his passing from brain cancer at age 13, we celebrate Cameron's Feast in recognition of his amazing life and continued impact on the world. This year would have been Cameron's 23rd birthday.
We invite you to share this special milestone in person if you are local, or anywhere you happen to be in the world. Eat a great meal, light a candle in Cameron's memory, and reflect on your own your special ripple effect in the world.
At the Folklore Theatre Company, every opening night we stand in a circle and pay tribute to Cameron, for had he not left the planet when he did, we would not exist. His spirit permeates every aspect of our work. <3
The event will consist of:
a potluck supper (let us know what you would like to bring),
a screening of the 1924 silent film of Peter Pan with the original score by the band Bent Knee, composed in Cameron's honor,
a fabulous CAKE & COSTUME AUCTION (bids both in person and online - BAKERS, let us know if you would like to contribute a cake!) Costumes, props and furniture from classic FTC shows will also be auctioned off!
and finally, a hilarious Jackbox Game Show, hosted by FTC core company member, Henry Jacques! As always, Cameron's beautiful birthday cake will be a gift from caffe sicilia. <3
This will be the final Cameron's Feast event in Gloucester, MA as Papa Henry Allen will be closing the theatre and moving on to international waters in June...
