Back by popular demand our very own Yiddishe Mama, Alice Hexter, is getting ready to cook up another Jewish Friday Night Supper… but with a twist. This time, with a nod to dishes popular in Poland, Alice has created a delicious 4 course menu along with a glass of dessert wine.
This is truly food for the soul…Kicking the evening off it’s Shabbat Shalom with Challah bread and schmears. Then tuck into dishes including Crispy Fried Gefilte Fish Balls, Salad, Chrain (horseradish and beetroot), Gedempte Chicken (slowly cooked with onions) and Kasha Varnishkes (buckwheat with bow-tie pasta). Dessert will be Chocolate Mousse, with hot cherries in Kirsch with kichel biscuits and served with a glass of dessert wine.
