A week after show 101, we bring you show 102! It's been a while, so we thought we'd get straight back to it!
They are back. Favourites of our little promotion these lot. They did the 100th gig, and now they come back to us for the York leg of their album release tour. If you haven't seen them before, you're in for a treat. Ultra high energy garage punk, that bangs away like an armed policeman relentlessly for the entire set. If you don't bang your head to these guys, then you've got no soul!
Really tough not to put these guys on last. They are certainly going to give Nosebleed a run for their money. A wild duo from up north, Mouses are a loveable bouncing spring lamb of a band. Trashy punk in the style of Jilted John, played with insane amounts of gusto. It's very entertaining and very exciting to watch. Come see for yourself!
One of York's best bands at the moment. Easily. '77 style punk, with big hitting flavours of top-notch swagger like The Fall and Wire. James is a fearless leader of this quintet, and the band also contains the super-skilled Elliot (Sherbet Flies) on lead guitar. They gig a lot around York, but if you haven't seen them yet, now is absolutely the time.
7 HOUR DARKNESS INVASION
Saw these guys not so long ago at The Fulford Arms supporting Percy. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a band that knows exactly how it wants to sound. Dirty trash rock mixes with an Idlewild-esque bleak punk, to create a sound that doesn't care about you, or your friends. Some bands try to be cool. These guys just are.
