The Fuller Projects presents Homie, a collection of works by Melissa Hopson.

Melissa Hopson was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She currently lives and works in Indianapolis, Indiana. She works in sculpture and mixed media. Hopson studied sculpture at the Art Academy of Düsseldorf and at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. Exhibitions include: Post, Düsseldorf, Germany, 83 Pitt Street, Embajada, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Unisex Salon, New York, Indianapolis Art Center, Indiana, AUTOcenter Berlin, Germany, and OPEKTA Cologne, Germany. She published at the International Educators (NASAD) conference in Boston.
The Fuller Projects is an exhibition venue with the primary mission of providing contemporary emerging artists with the opportunity to propose, create and present new work. This is a venue where artists are able to experiment with concepts, materials, working processes and audience interaction, which may fall outside of their normal practice. Established in 2002 by Indiana University School of Fine Arts students and located in the McCalla Sculpture building. The Fuller Projects encourages dialogue on art within the university, the community of Bloomington, and the contemporary art field.
