So it begins!

Escalation league is making its debut at The Game Store for Warhammer 40k. This is a great event for players of all skill levels. For beginners and returning players this gives you an opportunity to learn the rules and game system in a friendly environment. For veteran players it gives you the opportunity to try out new armies or tactics and also pass on your experience to the newer players. For all players it gives you the chance to win awesome prizes. This league will be played in 3 rounds with each round lasting 2 weeks. Each week will see an increase in power level of your army so that you can field some more troops and start playing in larger games. Missions will be played from the Warhammer 40k rulebook and will use all current Codex and FAQ from Games Workshop. Games will be win/lose/draw format and your record will continue through each round until the end of round. At the end of round 3, prizes will be awarded to the top 3 players as well as other prizes to select players who have shown their worth through sportsmanship, hobby progress, and improvement.

Below is a breakdown of each round as well as some basic rules and regulations. If you have any further questions please reach out and we will get them taken care of.

Rules and Regulations

- attempt to play different opponents each round. It can be difficult with schedules to align but playing against new opponents will help you hone your skills and learn more about the community. Playing against a different opponent each game can lead to great rewards.

- There is no painting requirement. Your models do need to be assembled and on correct size bases.

- Stay positive. No matter the outcome of the game learn from your mistakes and your victories.

- Be helpful. We all had to learn the basics and a great teacher was the best way to do that. Help guide new players and let them see how great this hobby and community can be.

- Have fun
