The students at Vince Lombardi High School have been driving principal after principal crazy with their disregard for education and love of rock music. The new principal Miss Togar aims to suppress them by banning rock music entirely. It's up to Riff Randell (P.J. Soles from Halloween and Carrie) to enlist the help of The Ramones to save the school from losing it's rock and roll personality.

Rock 'n' Roll High School (1979) is a film produced by Roger Corman whose production company focused on making low budget independent films. He wanted a teen movie just like the ones he made in the 60's but with a modern twist. After an initial rejection by Cheap Trick they pulled in The Ramones who wanted to raise their profile. The film has an amazing soundtrack featuring music and a live performance by The Ramones as well as music from Brian Eno, Nick Lowe, Todd Rundgren, Paul McCartney, MC5, The Velvet Underground, Fleetwood Mac and Alice Cooper.
