River Valley Rangers are bringing the high-energy bluegrass/newgrass to The General Store Pub!
What began as a few friends playing songs along the banks of the Fox River in northern Illinois has formed to become the high-energy bluegrass/newgrass band that is River Valley Rangers. While firmly rooted in bluegrass, the Rangers draw on a variety of musical influences. With a love of the great outdoors, river-valleys, adventure, good friends, food, and drink, the Rangers bring a passion to their music that you can feel in your heart all the way down to your feet! The Rangers have performed at a variety of music festivals throughout the region, such as: Shoe Fest, Frankfort Bluegrass Festival, John Hartford Memorial Festival, Moondance Bluegrass Festival, Down on the Farm, Nippersink Music and Arts Festival, Two Brothers Summer Festival, Dawn and On, Lakeshore Independent Music Festival, Elgin International Festival, and have shared the bill and the stage with artists including: Jeremy Garrett of The Infamous Stringdusters, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, David Grisman Bluegrass Experience, Larry Keel Experience, Cold War Kids, Pert’ Near Sandstone, Special Consensus, Rumpke Mountain Boys, Hot Buttered Rum, Henhouse Prowlers, and many more. The Rangers continue to build a loyal following within the bluegrass and jam scene. Burning like a Midwestern prairie fire, they aren’t slowing down anytime soon!
