He is considered the least well-known impressionist but one can’t appreciate 20th century art without understanding the significance and genius of Paul Cézanne. Learn more about this hidden gem of an artist through interviews with curators, experts, and the artist’s own correspondence. This film by Phil Grabsky gives the audience an intimate look at the life of Cezanne by showing the places he lived and worked in addition to following an exhibition of his portraiture work as it opens at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris before traveling to the National Portrait Gallery in London and the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.
