On April 14, 1912, the RMS Titanic struck an iceberg that would cause its demise. On this the 106th anniversary of the tragic event, Karen Taylor introduces us to Emil Fevery, supposed Titanic survivor.
Born in Belgium, Fevery later ran a grocery store in Marion,
Iowa. In 1930, the Cedar Rapids Republican reported on his narrow
escape from the Titanic. He told of desperately sliding down a
rope to reach a lifeboat already on the water. But did he? Sort out
the evidence and decide for yourself.
