The Art of Needle Felting | Painting & Sculpting With Fiber

#var:page_name# cover

Allow Alexandra Quigley to lead you through the process of learning the beautiful art form known as “needle felting” in this first time offered introductory course!

Needle felting is a process which uses barbed needles to interlock wool fibers to form a more condensed material. Wool fibers have scales which when rubbed against each other catch and lock into place to create this denser material called felt. Felting needles are used to entangle the fibers. As the felting needle is moved up and down, the barbs on the needles catch the scales of the wool and entangle them into place. This art form can be used to create gorgeous works of art and functional items alike.

This six week class will start on Monday, April 9th and run from 6-8 each session. There is an 8 student maximum and three student minimum required to run the class.
