LEAD, SD – Black Hills visitors and residents alike are invited once again to enjoy a down-home South Dakota Saturday night experience with the Black Hills Opry, an old-time classic country concerts series, back for a second year at the Historic Homestake Opera House (HHOH) at 313 W. Main Street.

Aces & Eights classic country trio is the house band for the series and consists of three Black Hills musicians: Kim Bachman of Belle Fourche, SD on mandolin, banjo, guitar, and vocals; Harland Allen of Sturgis, SD, guitar and vocals; and Pegie Douglas, of Hot Springs, SD on bass.

This true American cowgirl from the Missouri River bank of South Dakota echoes the whispers of a simple but gritty way of life, with visually unforgettable images. Like champagne falling on a tin roof backed by the glow of wood stove, Sherry Ann's music offers a rustic elegance, the air filled with hints of sweetness, bitterness, humor, heritage, beauty and a love of God's creations.

RANDY BURGHARDT:
Randy is a new upcoming Rocky Mountain Country Music artist from Cheyenne, Wyoming. From the Cowboy State of Wyoming, Randy plays across the Midwest, from the Rocky Mountains to the lower part of Colorado. Randy had the privilege of playing at CMA music fest in Nashville, TN where he got to showcase his music. His song Gate Opens Wide was his first radio single in 2015; was nominated for song of the year at the Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards in 2016, and has hit the top 20 charts for several radio groups. His song Honkytonk Man has also hit top 20 charts and is a number one single. He has performed with several other artists such as Ned LeDoux, Dustin Evans, and Genevieve Allen.

The Black Hills Opry format provides an entertainment mix of stories, and old-time classic country music by the likes of Hank Williams, Tammy Wynette, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings. Other genre styles such as bluegrass and Americana also are woven through the series with special guest performers a each show.

The show is appropriate for all ages and takes place once a month May through August.

Showtime is 7:00 pm. Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for HHOH members and tour groups, $10 students (with college/high school ID) and $5 for kids age 10 to 17. The ticket booth opens one hour prior to showtime.

Tickets are available by calling the HHOH office at 605-584-2067 or at the door. The ticket booth is open one hour prior to showtime. Beer, wine, soda, and water will be available for purchase. Free off-street and free lot parking is available within 4 blocks of the building. The building is accessible for wheelchairs.
