April 8th: Sun Salutations
Surya Namaskara or Sun Salutation, are the cornerstone of a yoga asana (posture) practice. Matching breath to movement, the yogi/yogini moves from one posture to another in a seamless flow.
This workshop will teach the three variations of Sun Salutations - A, B, and C. There will be a step by step breakdown of alignment for each pose. The workshop will allow attendees to practice each pose individually, sequentially, and flow with focus on the use of the breath to move between poses in a graceful dance.
April 15th: Warrior Poses
Virabhadrasana, or Warrior, poses build strength and increase stamina. Matching breath to movement the yogi/yogini moves from the core warrior postures into variations seamlessly.
This workshop will teach the three variations of Warrior, A, B, and C. There will be a step by step breakdown of the alignment for each pose with special attention to the anatomical foundation. This workshop will allow attendees to practice each pose individually and sequencing them together with Sun Salutations and other transitional poses. Variations to each pose will be explored to provide the practitioner with a strong foundation to expand their own practice.
