This course is for providers/practitioners who are working in Early Years Services.

The 15 hour EDI programme for early childhood educators centres around the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Charter and Guidelines for Early Childhood Care and Education. It explores a wide variety of challenges facing early childhood services that can inhibit or prevent services operating in a fully inclusive manner. Challenges such as prejudice, real representation of all children in an early childhood service, strategies to promote inclusive practice and how to draw up an Inclusion policy for your early childhood service are all explored. The programme uses the strength based Anti-Bias approach throughout.
This is a free course which is run over 4 dates as follows:
Saturday 19th May - 9.30am to 15.30pm - Colgan Hall, Carndonagh
Wednesday 30th May -18.30pm to 21.30pm - Colgan Hall, Carndonagh
Wednesday 6th June - 18.30pm to 21.30pm - Colgan Hall, Carndonagh
Wednesday 13th June - 18.30pm to 21.30pm - Colgan Hall, Carndonagh
Please note: A total of 15 hours must be completed in order to complete the training so all 4 sessions need be attended to receive the certificate.
Lunch is included on the first day of the training. Please specify if you have any special dietary requirements.
