Yinyasa is a hybrid class that combines the major elements of a Yin (passive yoga) & Vinyasa (active yoga) practice into one class that will provide the maximum benefit for the student. We will explore deep fascia opening that will prepare us to go deeper into our vinyasa practice which will culminate in the body being prepared to explore the depths of our peak pose. We will focus on deep hip openers and back-bends. In this two hour workshop, we will begin with a lecture on Bhakti, 30 minutes of Yin, where we will hold a few poses for around 5 minutes each in a super supportive and liberating manner, then transition into a 75 minute vinyasa practice ending in a sweet 15 minute blissful savasana. About Bhakta Mike:
Mike began his yoga journey in 2014 after a lifetime of searching for a higher taste in spiritual life. With a strong desire to take his knowledge of 12 step programs in combination of yogic philosophy to better serve the community he did his 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Sadhana in Hudson New York with master teachers Raghunath and Sondra Loring.

After teaching for a year, he left his flourishing material life behind and moved into his teacher Raghunath’s upstate New York ashram called Supersoul Farm. Since then he has spent extensive time studying Bhakti Yoga very extensively in various ashrams both in the US and India. He finished his 300 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher training in India in 2016 and has been teaching Bhakti yoga since.

His classes are combined with ancient philosophical material, singing and chanting and fun asanas and transitions. His classes focus on breathing and alignment but most importantly he brings a light hearted nature on this deeply rooted experience.
