The Knolls of Oxford presents Hit the Right Notes Virtual 5k and celebration!
A virtual 5k is a race that does not have a specific date, time, or place. Participants can walk, run, bike etc. outdoors, on a treadmill, walking the halls at work, or any way! It also allows many people to participate no matter their ability, pace, or location! A participant will sign up to complete the 5k and log their distance over a one week period by posting a picture on FaceBook and tagging The Knolls of Oxford. The distance does not need to be completed in one run, but can be done in increments over the one week period!
This fundraiser will help support the Music and Memory care program at The Knolls of Oxford. Music has proven to be very helpful in reducing anxiety and depression, while also encouraging increased cognitive function and improving memory for people living with forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's Disease (more information on this can be found at https://musicandmemory.org/ ).
The virtual 5k will take place from April 20th-April 28th. Following the week of the race will be a FREE celebration party on April 28th from 2pm-6pm at The Woods (12 N Poplar St., Oxford, OH) to celebrate the program and the support of our sponsors! This event will include live music, raffle prizes, T-shirt sales and a good time!
To sign up please make a $25.00 donation by going to www.mkcommunities.org/donate/ and clicking on Hit the Right Notes Virtual 5k and send an e-mail to KnollsofOxford@mkcommunities.org requesting to participate.
