Join L.A. Kitchen in collaboration with Todo Verde Founder Jocelyn Ramirez for this FREE afternoon of dialogue and collaborative cooking surrounding ancestral food and health knowledge. Following Indigenous People’s Day and preceding Thanksgiving this workshop will include decolonized recipes that you can make for your friends and family at your Thanksgiving meal. The event will start with a presentation and dialogue, and will be followed by a hands on cooking workshop. Participants will get to take home what they prepare. L.A. Kitchen will provide all materials and ingredients needed for the workshop.
~ About Jocelyn + Todo Verde ~
Todo Verde founder, Jocelyn Ramirez, is a vegan cook, yoga instructor, and advocate for healthy food access in her community. After Jocelyn’s father was diagnosed with cancer for the second time, she created a plant-based superfood smoothie diet that made him dramatically stronger and helped with a quick recovery. In this process, she noticed the disproportion of healthy food options in the LA area after years of driving across town in search of healthier food for her and her family.
Todo Verde’s mission is to create delicious and healthy plant-based food options inspired by familiar tastes using Mexican and South American flavors that taste great and are great for the community. Todo Verde plans their a menu using local, fresh, and organically grown ingredients.

Please enter via L.A. Kitchen's Volunteer Entrance on Ave 25. There is non metered street parking around the building. We are accessible via Metro! Two blocks away from the Licoln/Cypress Station.
