On Saturday, April 21 at 11am, The Laboratory Theater of Florida will have open auditions for its summer camp, featuring Evil
Dead: The Musical (the high school version). We are looking for high school students (14-18 years old) both on- and
offstage who are seeking to learn more about all aspects of putting together a musical.
The Laboratory Theater Summer Camp will $500 for three full weeks, 9am-4pm, with 15 minutes before and at the end of each day for drop off and pick up.

Camp dates are July 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20th. This equals three weeks of camp.

There will be 5 performances of Evil Dead: The Musical on July 19, 20, 21 at 8pm and July 21 and 22 at 2pm. These three weeks will be filled with fun activities ranging from acting,
singing, theater makeup, special effects makeup, lighting, set design, staging, stage managing and more! No matter what your interest in the theater is, there is something for you. After all, no
one’s education is complete without the theater.
If you’re auditioning for a stage role:

Please prepare sixteen bars of a song of your choice from a pop/rock musical in your vocal
range (bring a backup CD) and a 30-60 seconds long comedic monologue. Callbacks will be held the same day (at 3pm). You will be asked to sing a song from the show, read sides with another character, and take part in a mini dance audition.

***If you are interested in participating in the camp, but do not feel comfortable acting/singing in front of others, please still come to auditions! We are looking for actors to fill small doubled non- singing roles, as well as set/prop designers, costume/hair/makeup designers, stage managers,
and light/sound designers! If you come for crew, please expect to answer questions such as prior experience in theater and leadership.***
