FRED CANAL'S BIO
The course of Fred Canal is equally as expected and exalting…
As long as he can remember, Fred has always been immersed in music. First as an opera singer and as a DJ in the most famous and very chic Parisian parties, but it is at Mozinor that his life will change.
It is at these early 90s legendary raves that he decided that his career will be in electronic music.
He found House Keeper and organized House of Japan - the music festival at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, mythical event which made the beautiful nights in the capital gathering up to 15 thousand people, dancing to the likes of Laurent Garnier, Judge Jules, John Kelly and French all stars, Ivan Smagghe, Djulz, Pacman etc…
Then he headed to England where he dropped his suitcases for a few years and worked as part of the production team of the famous club: Gatecrasher. Voted best club in the world for a few years in the late 90’s, Gratecrasher changed the club culture worldwide.
Fred Canal on this occasion do a world tour, accompanying the biggest DJs (Carl Cox, Paul van Dyke, Eric Morillo, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Laurent Garnier, Roger Sanchez etc…) and will mix in the best clubs in the world.
25 years of DJing and traveling later, he decided to settle down and moved to Thailand. First in Koh Samui, where he wins the Best Southern Thailand DJ award, which gives him the opportunity to get a residency in all the clubs of the area: Dreamers, Chacha Moon, KC Beach and Eden Garden in Koh Phangan, but was looking for bigger challenges and moved to Bangkok. He very quickly became one of the major players in the City of Angels in 2014. First, as Music and Entertainment Director of the FICO Group (Maggie Choo’s, Iron Fairies, Seen Space…) and now focusing on his DJ career - he is resident of the new it-club Sing Sing Theatre. Oskar Bistro and the after party underground hero Mustache.
His great musical culture allows him to mix from private parties to trendy clubs to parties for luxury brands (LVMH, Microsoft etc..) but he still practices his love for underground music.
HIBIYA LINE'S BIO
Hibiya Line is not Japanese. Behind that name hides Dan, a Swiss-Vietnamese guy who in 2006 began playing live acts mixing house and techno in his hometown of Lausanne, Switzerland.
In 2013, he founded The Observatory, an underground club in HCMC, Vietnam that is naturally dedicated to the music he likes. The Observatory has since obtained a reputation for itself in the country and broader region as a place that is dedicated to quality dance music, and Hibiya Line’s involvement both behind the scenes and in the booth has allowed him to hone his skills as a DJ that is finely-attuned to the emotions and dynamics of a crowd even further.
A Hibiya Line set can be anything from a cosmic journey through the exoplanets of electronic rarities, an archaeological excavation of loft-locked disco gems, and anything in between. Whatever it is, his reputation for carefully blended sounds of powerful and mesmerizing obscurity is far-reaching.
Arguably one of the true pioneers of underground dance music in Vietnam, his sound escapes the confines of genres and is designed for dancing with an element of anticipation and surprise.
