The Reading Relationship: Have fun, make memories while helping your little one learn to read.
Parents play a vital role in their child’s success in literacy. In fact, the number one predictor of early literacy success and future academic achievement is parent involvement. Why not have a bunch of fun in that role? Want to have great game ideas in your back pocket? Games are the great connector, and we will teach you plenty. Come out for an hour that could change your literacy time with your child forever. You’ll learn tricks to teaching phonics, how to strengthen fluency, vocabulary, spelling and increase comprehension. No matter the age or stage of your child you will leave with a greater sense of why some aspects of learning must be solidified early on and ways to make that work enjoyable. Don’t be shy. Your instructors welcome all questions.
Come out for nibbles (refreshments) and giggles (games that will bring out the best in you and your child). You may even leave as the lucky winner of several door prizes. Guaranteed you’ll leave with an enhanced understanding of how to skip and smile along the road to reading.
