Restorative Mama Yoga – (Prenatal & Postnatal)

As parents we spend so much energy taking care of others, that sometimes we need a little self-care, and deep relaxation. Come refill your cup and relax your body and mind. Come connect to your heart, your true nature and your inner light. This class is open everyone, and no previous experience needed.
In this class you will be invited to set an intention, journal, and then will be led through a gentle yoga practice of supported poses, yogic breathing, and an extended savasana (final resting pose) with a Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation. Poses will be safe for both prenatal and postnatal women.

Cost: $35/person and includes tea, small snack & restorative yoga class.

What is Restorative and Yin Yoga? Restorative Yoga balances the Mind, Body and Soul. In Yin and Restorative Yoga you do gentle poses that are supported and enhance relaxation. There are 3 principles of Yin: Find your appropriate edge, Find stillness, Hold for time. Yin Yoga provides balance and harmony to your active (yang) yoga practice and busy life. With the guidance of a trained teacher, this practice is safe for the pregnant and postpartum student.
What is Yoga Nidra? (meaning scared yogic sleep) is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that walks you through the systematic relaxation the body and mind so that you may find deep rest and access the subconscious. Yoga Nidra has many scientifically proven physical, mental, and emotional benefits.
