The 5 elements of earth, water, fire, air, and space makeup everything we are and the world around us. We can utilize this awareness to balance how we feel as these elements shift and become imbalanced.
When we are feeling weighed down by the heaviness of earth, breath help us “light our fire.” When we are feeling “hot-headed” breath can cool us down .
When we are too “air-headed” to concentrate, breath can bring stillness and focus to our minds.
In this 6 week series we will explore the subtle energies of the elements in body, mind, and breathe, as well as learn how to recognize when the elements are out of balance and experience tools to organically bring yourself back into balance.
Each class will include gentle yoga postures, breathwork, and meditation. Accessible to all levels of practice. First timers to seasoned practitioners alike will benefit from this class!
Megan McFadden is a certified therapeutic yoga teacher. She received her training at Agama Yoga Healing Center in Thailand, where she lived and immersed in yoga study and practice. She has practiced yoga for 7 years and studied over 1000 hours in yoga theory, she views meditation as the essential foundation of her Hatha Yoga practice. Having grown up in the Lake Norman Area, Megan is excited to bring the benefits of meditation to the community she knows and loves. Megan feels called to teach meditation by her passionate belief that the practice of meditation will change your life!
