The Streets Are Ours
Robert Higgins

‘In The City you choose your friends, here you take the hand you're dealt’

Following on from Fruition, a series of new short plays performed at Cuirt 2017, Fregoli are delighted to premier The Streets Are Ours by Robert Higgins. Originally a short ten minute piece The Streets are Ours has been developed into a full length piece and will appear in this years Galway Theatre Festival, May 4th-7th @ 9pm in The Mick Lally Theatre.
The Streets Are Ours chronicles the antics of four old friends who have found themselves trapped in different ways. As the gang reconnect we see the tensions between those who chose to leave versus those who choose to stay, and explore the idea of choice itself. Is the grass always greener? Perhaps the freedom to choose isn’t a welcome privilege but a burden in itself.
Performed with heart, humour and Fregoli’s trademark energy The Streets Are Ours is a highly engaging show. It will leave you buzzing, maybe looking to party, dance or text an ex! We don’t recommend you do all three!
