This. Is. Reel.
The New Parkway is proud to host the stars of Hoodslam for a double main event of wrestling-themed entertainment sure to be the highlight of your Thursday night.
At 7:30, join us on the Mezzanine for a special edition of TAG TEAM TRIVIA. Bring your friends to come take on Hoodslam’s Broseph Joe Brody, Zangev Darevko, Ken Masters, Anton Voorhees and Ean Hancement of The CAUTION (CAUTION) and MORE (MAYBE!?) in the most punishing pub trivia challenge in all the East Bay.
Just when you think you have all the answers, we change the questions (like we do every week, to keep it competitive).
All teams can enjoy the company (and merch!) of the lasviscious extravaganza that put Oakland on the wrestling map — but only one team can claim the free pitcher of beer or movie tokens as their prize.
At 9:30, put your butts in the seats for a Parkway Classics screening of the 1983 wrestling film ...ALL THE MARBLES.
Iris and Molly are the California Dolls, a team of scrappy hard luck women sunset flipping their way through the women’s tag team circuit in the hopes of getting a Tag Team Title match at the big show in Reno. It’s got the guy that played Colombo as their manager.
“It’s an underrated classic of wrestling cinema,” said our one employee who’s like, really into wrestling.
Hoodslam and The New Parkway. Two great tastes that taste great together...so why not come out, take a bite, and let us know if we should make this a regular menu item?
And then the next day, April 20th...It so happens that this year's Earth day lands on a weekend! We would hate to miss such an amazing opportunity to join together with our tender buds.
Hosted by Broseph Joe Brody and with music from the Hoodslam Band, the Oakland Metro Operahouse will pour you liquor for money while we perform in a wrestling ring. It's kinda the best thing to happen to the world.
Starts at 9, tickets at the door or Veezi! Visit @Hoodslam on everything social or visit birdswillfall.com for more info!
